Welcome to Lake Louise Getaway!
Owned and operated by Hans Kniep, the LLG's goal is to provide a relaxing and fun country getaway. The LLG wants it's renters to be able to experience northern Michigan and discover all of it's greatness. The LLG offers everything including golfing, hiking, fishing, boating, sightseeing, relaxation, hunting, off-roading, skiing, snowmobiling, romance and family fun! It will take many trips to the LLG to be able to experience everything the north has to offer!
Amenities
Enjoy an old-fashioned "Up North" family cottage getaway in this quiet and very private beachfront cottage. The Lake Louise Getaway is located on Lake Louise in Johannesburg, Michigan, just 20 minutes from Gaylord. The lake is a private all-sports lake that is 43 acres.
New for Summer 2008! A pool table, poker table and an electronic dart board in the finished half of the basement.
This cozy three-bedroom cottage that sleeps up to ten is clean, modern and comfortable. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, bedroom #2 also has a queen sized bed, bedroom #3 has two twin bunk beds and the family room has a sleeper sofa that will sleep two. Living room amenities include: 27" TV, satellite TV, DVD player, VCR, high speed wireless internet, board games and kids videos.
The kitchen is fully equipped with range, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, toaster, blender and all cooking utensils. It also has a full-sized washer and dryer. For some outdoor cooking, you'll find a gas grill and picnic table.
The beach is one of the best on the lake! As you can see from the pictures and maps, The Lake Louise Getaway is located on the tip of the northwest end. There is a marsh island directly across from the beach. This provides quiet and seclusion, yet still being able to enjoy all water sports on this lake.
A paddleboat, row boat and two kayaks are included for your enjoyment. Life jackets are provided and are required when using the boats. Sorry, no personal watercraft may be brought.
Linens and towels are provided.
Surroundings
For the kids: In Lewiston (~20 min away) there is Smitty's Place Family Fun Center. There they have Putt-putt golf, go-karts, pool tables, arcade games, and air hockey. Plus they serve ice cream and pizza.
In Gaylord, there is the Call of the Wild (www.gocallofthewild.com). Next door is Bavarian Falls Park which has Go-carts, putt-putt and Krazy cars!
For the adults: Also in Lewiston, there is snowmobile and jet ski rental available. They will deliver and pickup rentals right from the cottage!! Click here for more info. Also, take the family over to J & B's for a great atmosphere and an awesome dinner!

You can find peace and quiet nestled on this private beach property located on private Lake Louise. Only 13 miles outside of Gaylord, Michigan there is year 'round fun with plenty to do! In winter, for snowmobiling, there is direct access to hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails and seasonal roads. In summer, there are ATV/ORV trails minutes away. For skiers or golfers, we are only 15 minutes to Treetops and with over 20 golf courses in the area, this is considered the golf Mecca of the Midwest. It is also close to casinos and only an hour to Mackinaw Island or how about visiting Gaylord during Alpenfest or the Otsego County Fair?
Central location, minutes from scenic Gaylord - antiques / arts / crafts, shopping and fine dining as well as prime golf courses and fall color sites. Mackinac Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Grand Traverse wine region, Petosky, Charlevoix and casinos are easy day trips.
